Semax.

Semax takes a four-residue stretch of adrenocorticotropic hormone, Met-Glu-His-Phe, positions 4 to 7, and adds the same Pro-Gly-Pro tail later used on Selank. It was developed in the 1980s at the Institute of Molecular Genetics in Moscow, where much of the work on this family of extended fragments was done.

The result is a seven-residue linear chain containing one sulfur-bearing methionine. Supplied as 10 mg of freeze-dried powder.
